There are often comparisons to the IBM i branding with Windows.

And this makes sense. Windows is the family name. IBM is the family name. Windows 10 is the current incarnation. IBM i is the current incarnation.

However, an interesting comparison may be made with the branding of Intel chips. While the power increases and the functionality improves, the branding has been changed quite often.
